Vision and Roots: The Retreat
To walk with vision means we are deeply rooted in ourselves and where we are being lead and called to move in the world both in our deep personal path and that with our purpose.
To have a vision means we are clear on the path forward and we have courage to walk it.
To be rooted means we are grounded in ourselves, we are anchored in who we are and we have the internal foundation to create from.
The healing of the self is the most powerful pathway of healing we can offer to our world. When we reclaim the lost parts of us, reconnect with the land that holds us and seek the wisdom that is being offered to us, we can bring healing not just to ourselves but the world.
This is the first path of rooted.
When we know how to root in ourselves we are open to the visions that are being laid for us to follow and we have the capacity and courage to step into them.
The retreat unfolds with each day having time going through a teaching and intention that is held through the lens of indigenous teaching and then a session with the horses to deepen and receive support from the herd. The space of rooted and visions blends both the space of being rooted in ourselves and being able to receive a vision from that place.
We will gather with the land and in circle each day, honoring how each woman wants to be seen and tended to in that space, you will always have choice in how you want to show up, giving room to any boundaries you feel you need to honor your process.
This retreat
Our healing journey is not a selfish one, it is a brave one that has ripple effects in the world. In a time where many are divided, we seek to create a space where we can come and gather as one.
This is a space of honoring. A safe circle to be held, to find healing in the places we need it and being in a circle with other women that will walk with us, will be a witness to us, and will help heal spaces in ourselves and our relationships that are being called to be tended to.
We gather as a circle of women, each bringing a piece of our own wisdom to the circle, we facilitate from this circle to gather, to tend to ritual and to see what wisdom the land and herd have to support us on our journey.
It is a bringing together of indigenous teachings with horse medicine for us to find our way to healing, transformation and reconciliation for the earth, its beings and one another.
There are stories of transformation connected to the land for thousands of years. Through Secwepemc knowledge carriers we will explore the importance of transformation as it applies to lived experience and inner work. Relationships were important to the Indigenous tribes, for family support, community connection and land stewardship. Individual well-being is an important contribution to the collective.
How the retreat is held:
Each day there will be guided teachings, sessions with the herd and connection with the land to support the wisdom and journey that you will be supported in while you are here in retreat.
There will be self reflection time to journal and walk the land, time to be with women in circle and time with the herd.
This retreat will also include an Akasic records collective session, with the option of adding on a private session, so we can open to the visions the collective has for us and where we are being asked to root into them not just in ourselves but in the world.
Why horses?
Horses are a pure energy, they don’t hold any of the baggage and wounding that we do as humans, they also witness us in our most brilliant and healed form, when we see our reflection in relationship to how the horses witness us, we see ourselves in a new light.
Horses as wisdom keepers, way showers and teachers, we walk into their space learning their language and how to be with them and look upon them as guides and healers on our path. No previous horse experience is necessary.
Horses are rooted in themselves and in the connection to the land, when we walk with horses we are walking the old ways of knowing how to be in tune with the cycle of natures and reach the depths of who we are accessing wisdom that can help us along on our journey of reclaiming and rooting.
