The Embodied Leadership Retreat
What does it mean to be embodied as a leader? In ourselves and in our craft?
Embodiment has been and currently continues to be a space that is talked about a lot and the question is, what does that mean?
To be embodied is to be connected to the full intelligence and wisdom of our being, that we are present to our physical awareness and what it feels like to be in the body.
For our own self leading, to be connected to all of our intelligence centers means we have access to wisdom that can support how we lead ourselves, and navigate the world around us.
As a coach, mentor, leader, guide, space holder, to be embodied means we are also tapped into a greater intelligence in how we can serve and hold space for others. It means we become masterful at reading the space of a client, and of an environment and know how to tap into that greater intelligence to inform how we serve.
Horses are in many ways the greatest mirrors and teachers of embodiment because they exist so deeply in their body for survival.
When we are with horses, our own system becomes alert, and our neural pathways are activated so that we too become more present in the body, and more aware of what is moving through us.
To be an embodied leader means we are connected and aware of our full system, that we are rooted in all of our intelligence centers and can listen deeply from that place of full capacity.
This retreat is about finding and re-igniting our pathways of self, and how we serve, being led through horses and their wisdom.
Alongside of the horses you will also be guided through somatic based practices for self and leading, to bring into your own practices and understand how to bring the lens of embodiment into yourself and how you serve.
There are three pathways that we will journey in this retreat.
The pathway of self, where we will focus on our own practice and self embodiment, to be connected in all of our wisdom centers in the body, and how to bring that into how we self lead.
The pathway of sacred space, where we learn how to hold sacred space for others, what that means, and how to create an environment that is safe and grounded for those that come to us.
The pathway of leading, where we learn what it means to access our full capacity of wisdom in how we lead and support others in our practice.
Emerging from this retreat you will have:
An understanding of what it means to be embodied and how to bring somatic practices and awareness to life in your practice for self and others.
Activation and development of new neural pathways to the gut, heart and brain and how that brings a level of greater capacity in how you hold for self and others.
An awareness of how to discern the messages you receive through the body, and how to know the difference between wisdom and ego, and how to hold that in self and with others.
A deeper understanding of your unique purpose and medicine in what you bring as an offering to those you serve and how to be anchored in what that is.
An understanding of how to bring embodiment and somatic practices into your space with who you serve, with an appreciation for trauma informed ways of being with self and others.
With horses as our teachers we are held in a space that is absent of agenda, and human dysfunction and is rooted in innate wisdom and nature, and what gets held and reflected back to us when we are with horses.
Horses in the environment they exist in our herd, are highly regulated, that innately are both grounded and intuitive in themselves, how they interact with us and what we feel in their environment becomes feedback of us better understanding how we be in ourselves and how we be in the world, and what we can learn from how masterful horses are in how they hold space for us, and also within their community.
If you are in a space right now where you are wanting to come from and access a more embodied approach to your craft, and how you hold yourself, we would love to invite you to join us for this retreat.
Horses are masterful teachers, with them we can know that we will always be brought into teaching in a way that is pure and without agenda, that with horses we come fully into being present ourselves so we can absorb learning on a much deeper level, and that being with them means that we are present in ourselves in a way that we can’t always do or hold with another human being.
You do not need to be a horse person to come and be in the space of horses. We look to the horse as a teacher, and we learn how to be present to them, learning about physical safety that also re-routes back into our teaching around embodiment. It is natural to feel both excitement and fear with horses and that is something we hold and navigate with each person that comes here.
Our herd lives at liberty where we come into their space to observe and learn from them. You get to experience being with a being that lives freely and has access to a space that helps them regulate naturally, while teaching us how to do the same.
If you are a coach, mentor, facilitator, leader, guide, and you are looking to come from a place of greater capacity and embodiment in yourself and in your practice with others, we would love to have you join us.
