We are wounded, as women, in our core right to claiming who we be in the world and the authentic expression of what we are messengers for.

We wound one another. In our hurt, we cause pain. We lash out; we compare; we envy and we harm.

We are Wounded Women…

Looking to reclaim our place in our society, in our homes and in our places where we are called to create and lead from.

We are looking for a place of belonging to witness ourselves in our wounding and to nurture us back to our places of wisdom and wholeness.

The Wounded Woman Retreat is about deep witnessing.

Of the wounds we carry as women in our collective and in our individual journeys we have had in our lifetimes.

It is an opportunity to embrace our wounds, to seek out their teachings, to know where they are guiding us, and to be liberated from the prisons we hold ourselves through her, the lens we hold in our wounded self.

This is not a retreat of victimhood, nor is it about us spending time reliving our trauma.  It is a space to bear witness to our wounds, to create a deeper consciousness of how this wounded woman manifests in us and find our way to living with her through a place of empowerment and wisdom.

We heal through sharing our stories.

We all carry wounds that we are ashamed of, that we isolate ourselves through, or that we feel as if we are alone in.

Our time in this retreat is bringing this to the surface, being seen in our vulnerabilities as a gateway to taking back our power over them.

It is time…

It is time our wounded woman be transmuted.

For us to journey through her to meet our wise woman.

The part of us that is anchored in healing, purpose and wisdom.

Who knows her place of belonging in the world, is brave enough to speak up against the injustices she witnesses in life and in herself, and is courageous enough to seek out a more authentic and empowered way of being in how she meets the world and how she meets herself.

Horse Consciousness:

The human consciousness is filled with baggage. In our collective as women, we wear the wounds of our ancestors and of our lineage.

With horses, we meet another consciousness that, although not devoid of its own wounds, offers us another place of landing around our wounds as women.

In the meeting of horses, we meet our own divine self. We are sparked back to an embodiment of authenticity and given an opportunity to meet a part of us that we yearn for, our spirit.

Horses hold the embodiment of power, freedom, and travel. When we meet with this energy and archetype, we are given a pathway back to that within ourselves.

How this Space is held…

Two women who share a passion and calling for horses, who hold both the innocence and rose colored lens, came together to address a space they recognized in both themselves and in other women.

Six years ago, Hillary and Güliz met, guided by the ally and space of Epona and the horses. Throughout their six years of travelling in friendship and in kindred connection, they both have discovered a similar pathway.

Claiming the space of their gifts through their doubts, insecurities, and similar spaces of disowning their value, they came together in hopes to shift something they recognized that women will often travel to together.

Hillary brings 9 years of experience of guiding women in the space of horses and through her own mentorship for women who are called to the path of purpose.  She has led thousands of women online and in-person spaces with the assistance and guidance of horse medicine and her own intuitive experiences. Hillary is passionate about awakening women in their potential and their purpose and believes that our power lies in being able to embrace and learn from our shadows and our wounding.  She believes in the potential of who we are as creators and seeks to remind those that seek her out what their true possibility in life and in purpose can be about. She runs an 80-acre retreat center (home to 27 rescue horses) where she guides, trains and teaches other women to step into their own places of purpose and leadership to honor what they are here to do in the world.

Güliz Ünlü

Güliz Ünlü works with humans and animals in a range of wellness modalities. For most of her life she has been immersed in the layers and complexities of the Animal Kingdom. Through her work with both wild and domestic animals, she began to discover deep meaning in the purpose of the “pets” in our lives and the greater realm of animals that surround us daily. She was driven by discoveries in what they have to teach us about ourselves – about such things as compassion and forgiveness – and about their own purpose. She began to listen more intently to them to nurture this deeper connection.

Güliz uses BodyTalk*, Equine & Canine Bodywork, Inter-species translating and Linking Awareness and she has customized her skills to create a unique space of learning - guiding animals and their guardians into a balanced and sacred relationship through her private sessions, Equarius rewilding the Heart Meditation and Creative writing courses, and the Linking Awareness Journey. She creates a space where your epiphanies are realized through the eyes of your animals. A space of healing yourself and, as a result, healing the world around you.

Güliz has been fortunate to be able to study with internationally renowned and gifted mentors in the fields of Equine Chiropractic, Animal Communication, Structural Kinetics, Farriery, Cowboys & Cowgirls, and talented Trainers. Her work has taken her throughout North and South America, The Middle East, and Asia. Güliz works with any and all living creatures and her work is met with equal success and results.

This retreat brings both the medicine of horses, nature, and the space holding and facilitation of Güliz and Hillary together to create a sacred space for women to be witnessed, to reclaim and step into a more authentic way of being in themselves through the learning and holding of their wounded woman.

What is unique about this retreat?

How often do you get an opportunity to be immersed in nature with a herd of horses that live as wildly as they would in freedom?

We will be spending our days in 80-acres of spirited land surrounded by thousands of acres of crown land at liberty in a herd of 27 horses.

Our experiences will be not be manipulated or controlled. It will be held as closely to an authentic experience as we can get. This allows us to reclaim that wild and wise aspect of our own nature that can inspire us to live deeply in our day-to-day world.

Is previous horse experience necessary?

Due to the nature and teachings of our experience no previous horse experience is necessary.

The horses are a medium of teaching and relating.  We do not have to be horse people to receive the benefit of what they bring to our world. All experiences with the horses are done on the ground, there is no riding. Our experience with them is meant to bring us into deeper relationship with horses as a way to connect to a more authentic way of connecting to ourselves.  Each experience is guided by masterful horse women who will also be empowering you to learn how to read and understand the language of horses to provide for a sacred environment for us to experience them in.
